Summer will officially be here next week and Destination Almonte has great things planned for our community and visitors. Check out what we have planned as the weather warms up.
Summer Markets (Yes, PLURAL!)
Night Market
The second street night market of the year is scheduled for June 19th 5-9PM, and it is shaping up to be our best yet!
We are planning some fun, family-friendly activities, musical entertainment, and a live chainsaw carving demonstration.
There will also be the Rain Barrel Fundraiser PICKUP station at the Almonte Library, so get your orders in online now. There will be some extras for same-day purchases.
There are vendors & pop-ups along Mill Street, at Town Hall Square, and all the way up to the Almonte Library.
SaturDAY Market
You read that correctly! We are officially hosting a DAY market on Saturday, August 16th, during the Home & Garden & Town Tour this year to further help raise funds for the Almonte General Hospital FairView Manor Foundation (AGH-FVM). We will be opening up applications for this exclusive market at the end of June, and you can send an email to the events committee at info@destinationalmonte.com if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
Rain Barrel Sale (Fundraiser)
Destination Almonte is all about showing off our beautiful town and improving it for residents and tourists alike. This year, in order to support more community groups and events, we’ve put together a fundraiser that also helps our community one drop at a time. There are many benefits to collecting rainwater (reduces pollution runoff, reduces flooding, reduces chemicals in the garden, reduces your water bill, etc.), but the best advantage for this fundraiser is the how much more we will be able to do for the community with this fundraising effort. You can order online anytime, order and pick up in person at the Almonte Library on June 19th (during the Night Market), or make alternate arrangements by sending us an email this summer. Share the good news with your gardening friends and environment enthusiasts!
