New Year’s Read it Yourself Tarot Workshop
Start 2026 with new skills for the year ahead and a pause for self-reflection at the turn of the year.
This experiential workshop will be motivated by curiosity, not mastery, as we shift our attention from content to process. We will explore the 78-card tarot deck starting with the Fool’s journey and ending with the court cards of the four suits.
We will begin the day reading single cards from multiple perspectives and build to two, three, and multiple card spreads. After sunset, the day will close with a 13 card reading for the year to come.

Special Hours: Scheduled Power Outage in Almonte
From the general manager of Mississippi River Power Corp:
On November 17th, ORPC customers in the Mill Street area will experience a planned power interruption from 6:30am until 3:00pm. This outage is necessary for us (Mississippi River Power) to replace our power transformer.
As a point of clarification, MRPC and ORPC are two separate companies. MRPC generates power. ORPC distributes it and maintains the lines throughout town. ORPC added an outage map on their website showing the affected area (shown here).
It’s a little difficult to tell from the map, but both sides of lower Mill Street will be affected up to and including 26 Mill Street (Antiques & Collectibles). From there up the street, only the north side of the street is in the outage zone. Businesses on Bridge Street are not in the outage zone. Nor is the Almonte Old Town Hall. All businesses and residences on Little Bridge Street, including the Thoburn Mill, Barley Mow, etc. are in the zone. Enerdu is in the zone, but Canadian Hydro Components is not.
If all goes well, power should be restored before 3pm. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of this necessary interruption.

Paint A Chocolate Skull
Join us for a fun and spooky event where you can paint your own chocolate skull masterpiece!
Have you ever wanted to create a spooky Halloween treat made of chocolate?
Get into the Halloween spirit by painting your very own chocolate skull. Each ticket comes with a 3D skull made of chocolate. You'll be able to paint your skull with whatever frightening (or not so frightening) design you want. At the end, you can bring your skull home to eat or display in your haunted house.

Family Halloween Tombstone-Making Workshop
This Halloween-themed Workshop will entertain and engage your whole family. All ages welcome. Learn to make spooky tombstones to decorate your house for the holiday. You'll roll out some clay to carve out your desired motif. Jeff will provide instruction, ideas and tools for creative carvings and designs on your tombstone. Then we'll pour plaster into your clay mold. While it hardens, we'll enjoy some cider, cookies and hot chocolate (included in cost). Then participants will paint their plaster sculpture so your unique creation is ready to display on your front yard. And after understanding the method, you can purchase supplies to make additional tombstones at home.
